Welcome
We would like to welcome you to the 7th Annual Hartland Memorial Day Fun Run & Walk presented by Hartland Insurance Agency. This event will be held prior to the other fun activities associated with Memorial Day in Hartland, Michigan.
Proceeds
Proceeds from the event will benefit Hartland High School Athletic Programs.
Race Date & Time
Monday, May 28, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. Registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. at Hartland High School Field House.
Location
The start and finish are at 10635 Dunham Road in Hartland, Michigan. There is ample parking available.
Facilities
There will be restrooms available at the field house. Lockers and showers will not be available, so please come dressed to run.
Course
The 10K and 5K courses have been accurately measured and are USATF Certified. The 10K Run, 5K Run and 3K Walk will start at the Hartland High School Field House. The course takes you on a circuit through the charming village of Hartland, then out of town to a challenging hill. At the end of the hill, runners will be turned around back toward the village. The return course routes the runners through the residential areas of the town, returning back at the Field House. The course is a flat course for the walkers. The 10K course has an additional loop down Dunham road and back, about 1 mile of this loop is unpaved.

Awards
RUN AWARDS- First overall male and female
- First male and female over 40 years old
- First three males & females in age groups 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+
- First overall male and female in the 5K and 10K will receive $100
- There is a $100 bonus to anyone that breaks the course record in the 5K and 10K

- 10K Course Record: Male - 33:39 RP White 2010, Female - 38:45 Melanie Peters 2011

Timing & Results
Timing and results will be provided by Race Services Company. We will be using ChronoTrack Systems, featuring the disposable B-tag that remains attached to the race number bib. The race will have a "chip" start for the 5K Run allowing each participant to receive their actually start time.
Results will be posted continuously during the event for review. Complete results will be posted promptly after the event at www.raceservices.com.
Festivities
After the Run/Walk, feel free to stay around to enjoy a pancake breakfast, a color guard presentation, and other events! This is all before one of Michigan's finest Memorial Day Parades. If you are still looking for fun, head to Epley Park for more Memorial Day activities.
